Madisonville Woman Arrested for Handgun Possession Following October Wreck

A Madisonville woman who was involved in a wreck earlier this month was arrested on a warrant Friday for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

According to Madisonville Police, 28-year-old Cheyenne Langhorne was taken into custody on Mullins Lane shortly after 11:30 Friday morning. She was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and failure to maintain required insurance.

Police said that after Langhorne’s wreck on Tuesday, October 15, officers found a backpack containing two unloaded revolvers inside the vehicle.

As previously reported by WFMW’s News Edge, the police investigation into the October 15th wreck determined that Langhorne lost control of her car and collided with a utility pole on North Scott Street. Police stated that Langhorne was briefly unconscious and was transported by ambulance to Baptist Health Deaconess for treatment of minor injuries.
